The organisers of Islington Canal Festival have offered to pay for having the Charmborough Ring on Sunday 7th September just off City Road in Islington. All it needs is for a group of ringers to organise themselves into running the show. This will cost you nothing and there might even be some money to pay for out of pocket expenses. I will bring the bells at 9am and need a group of people to help erect them, demonstrate ringing, give handling lessons to the public and plan what you are going to do with your new recruits!
