In terms of getting to tour you have 2 options.
You can either travel to Kettering on the train on Friday night and I will organise for me/my parents/someone else who is around to drive to the station and pick you up and you can stay Friday night as well – if there’s enough of us I’ll organise a quarter peal.
OR you can get the train to Market Harborough on the Saturday morning in time to make the first tower. I recommend the 9:15 out of St Pancras. If you do this DO NOT book a return from Market Harborough – you will be leaving from Kettering on the Sunday. You could still get on the train fine but might as well save a few pounds.
This tour is CYCLABLE. But I will need people to bring cars with them to drive around those of us who don’t have bikes – let me know if you’re driving.
Sleeping arrangements are a free for all at the Wallis household. This includes bringing tents and sleeping in the garden (plenty of room) or we will move furniture around and have large sleeping on the floor parties. Obviously the house is not infinitely sized but I’m not particularly worried. My parents will be around on the friday night.
Saturday night food plans are a bbq in the garden – I wouldn’t get excited about the prospect of pubs in Desborough unless being lynched appeals but they are all within stumbling distance so we can explore.
