University of London Society of Change Ringers

Welcome back!

Hello UL!

It’s that wonderful time of year again, the start of the new academic year. It means only one thing and that is it’s time for UL ringing to start up again! I can already hear your cries of “Finally!” and “About time!” 🙂

First practice back will be this coming Thursday (28th September). It will start at 19:00 and drinks beforehand will be from about 18:00 in The Liberty Bounds.

There is open service ringing on the following Sunday (1st October). This starts at 10:15 and it would be great to have as many people as possible come along for the first service ringing of term.

Thursday 5th October is the Freshers’ Practice… There will of course be a party afterwards at The Windsor with lots of food and drink!

3rd Sundays will now be quarter peals instead of open service ringing. [To] help develop some of our less experienced ringers’ ringing… So this is advance notice that the 15th October will be a quarter peal, meeting at 10am. If you can make this please let me know!

On the 26th October there will be a 12 bell practice at St Sepulchre-without-Newgate. Practice time is to be confirmed but it should be a great practice so do come along.

Another advanced notice but get it in your diaries: SUA is 10th to 12th November in Bristol 🙂

I will be in touch later with more things!

Hope to see you all soon (the 28th!),

Alistair
